Have you ever struggled to find the perfect piece of stock footage for a sky background, or struggled to create an acceptable seamless loop from stock? Sky was created as a result of my own experience with these problems!

The plugin’s output is watermarked until it is licensed, so you can try before you buy. Once you’re happy the plugin works with your setup and meets your expectations you can buy a licence and activate it to remove the watermark.

- Procedural cloud field: adjust scale, coverage, softness, detail, turbulence and shape (including a perspective warp that mimics clouds viewed towards a horizon)
- Sun position (elevation and azimuth) drives realistic faux-3D shading, with independent sun and ambient colour, intensity and shadow depth controls
- Silver lining edge glow that responds naturally to sun direction
- Coverage map allows you to art-direct the clouds using another layer – perfect for creating shapes in the clouds or putting clouds exactly where you want them
- Optional sun disc with adjustable size, softness and HDR-capable intensity – can be rendered solo allowing you to add glow/shine effects just to the sun
- Internally lit lightning flashes for storm effects – set keyframes wherever you want a lightning flash
- Sky gradient (zenith, horizon and ground colours), so Sky can stand alone without a separate background layer
- Optional star field with seamless looping twinkle
- Output clouds/sun disc/sky individually to add effects such as glow
- Seamless looping with adjustable loop duration, plus wind drift and evolution controls for natural billowing motion

- Sun position generator for tracking sun position with other effects such as lens flares
- GPU-accelerated rendering with automatic fallback to CPU rendering on machines without a supported graphics card

Licensing
Sky is a one-off purchase giving you a perpetual licence to use the software, not a subscription.
Once purchased, your licence activates on up to 2 machines (say, a desktop and a laptop), and you can deactivate one at any time to free up a slot for another. Activation happens instantly online from inside the plugin; an offline activation option is also available for machines without internet access. You can manage all your licences and activations at any time from the My Licences tab in your account.
Your purchase entitles you to free updates for the current major version. Major version upgrades will be charged at a reduced rate for existing customers.

- For fast GPU-accelerated rendering: an NVIDIA GPU from the GeForce RTX 20-series onward (or equivalent professional card), or Mac (Metal): Apple silicon (M1 or later)
